Ocean optics releases small-footprint heating device
Jan 04 2012
The USB-TC small-footprint heating device has been released by Ocean Optics, helping to efficiently maintain thermal stability of spectrometers operating in variable environments.
The temperature control ensures accuracy in industrial and other settings where temperature variations can affect spectral performance, and is compatible with the company's USB2000+ and USB4000 miniature spectrometers. The USB-TC maintains a constant ambient temperature, stabilising within 0.1'C of the final temperature within 30 minutes of power-up.
The USB2000+ and USB4000 are among the most popular miniature spectrometers in the world, with their small-footprint and high-speed CCD-array design ideal for a wide range of applications. Modular optical bench accessories make it possible to configure the USB2000+ and USB4000 for hundreds of different applications.
The company, a subsidiary of Halma plc, has sold more than 100,000 spectrometers worldwide since 1992, establishing them as a leader of solutions for optical sensing ' fundamental methods of measuring and interpreting the interaction of light with matter.
