Reliable - Robust - Reproducible: IEX Columns from YMC
Jan 29 2020
IEX is a widely used method in Bio QC, especially for monoclonal antibodies. However, one of the crucial requirements for any QC method is reliable lot-to-lot reproducibility. Unlike many other IEX columns on the market including those widely used “standard” ones, YMC’s BioPro IEX columns provide excellent lot-to-lot reproducibility together with superior resolution. These features make them a first choice for Bio QC!
YMC’s BioPro IEX columns are specifically designed for separation of antibodies, proteins, peptides, nucleic acids and oligonucleotides showing higher binding capacity and recovery of these biomolecules compared to conventional IEX columns. BioPro IEX columns are based on porous or non-porous hydrophilic polymer beads with low nonspecific adsorption.
YMC’s BioPro IEX columns are available either as porous or a non-porous versions. The non-porous exchange columns BioPro IEX QF and BioPro IEX SF offer outstanding efficiencies, so that even small sample variations can readily be detected and also purified. The porous BioPro IEX QA and BioPro IEX SP columns provide high capacities for high-load separations.
BioPro IEX columns provide high column stabilities in analytical and (semi)preparative scale. They are available with 4.6 mm ID and with lengths from 30-150 mm for analytical purposes, whilst for purification purposes IDs of 10, 20 and 30 mm ID with a length of 100 mm are available.
The non-porous BioPro IEX SF columns with its strong CEX functionality are especially useful for the analysis of antibodies and can also replace weak exchangers. By substituting these columns, it is possible to achieve a better analysis in a shorter time!
