Unrivalled cleanliness - National Scientific Mass Spec Certified Vials

Oct 27 2010

With highly sensitive chromatography applications requiring the complete elimination of any potentially contaminating substances, it is vitally important that you can be sure that all equipment used is clean, with a high level of purity. As an industry first, the National Scientific Mass Spec Vials are pre-cleaned and tested as standard to provide you with an extra level of assurance.

Certified vials are manufactured under the strictest automated manufacturing and quality controls systems to produce a physically uniform product that has the longest record of continuous performance in the industry. The Mass Spec Vials undergo additional processes to remove any trace artefacts introduced by the manufacturing methods. Cleaned using the Thermo Fisher Scientific proprietary processing methods in a GMP compliant, fully-validated clean room environment, the occurrence of any contamination is significantly reduced. Each lot is tested for particle counts as well as LC/MS and GC/MS background, providing you with a consistently high performance from each and every vial.

Recent advances in instrument construction and separation techniques have resulted in the commonly used high temperature glass forming techniques for burning off contaminants not being effective enough. Residual compounds that may survive can now be detected. As industry’s first pre-cleaned vials, the Mass Spec Vial can help you to overcome such limitations of traditional techniques.

Having been manufactured from inert, pure and chemically stable glass, the Mass Spec Vials are produced under strict quality control protocols to guarantee uniformity. With an in-process verification of 13 critical physical characteristics, users can be safe in the knowledge that they will gain a reproducible performance with every use. After processing, the National Scientific MS Vials are immediately transferred into pre-cleaned, inert vial trays. The ultra-high purity bonded PTFE/Silicone closures are packaged in an airtight, re-sealable container to further reduce any possibility of contamination during transport. Once the low particle, low background vial has been manufactured, product integrity is effectively maintained until use in your experiment.
