Analysis of Melamine in Food

Dec 28 2009

Concerns have recently arisen regarding the contamination on milk products and animal feed by melamine and related substances derived from the illegal addition of vegetable protein. Melamine combined with cyanuric acid can lead to toxicity and kidney failure. Detection and measurement of melamine levels are therefore of significant importance in ensuring food safety. Hichrom are now able to report on a number of HPLC and LC-MS methods that have recently been developed for this assay. Please contact Hichrom for further details on Tel: +44 (0) 118 930 3660 or e-mail: technical@hichrom.co.uk.
