HPLC Electrochemical Detection System Helps to Provide Accurate Adrenaline Analysis
Jan 17 2017
Forensic examination of adrenaline involves the detection of trace concentrations, in order to acquire an accurate image of the circumstances leading to and/or possible prevention, of a criminal act. The method of detection must be sensitive, accurate, reproducible, selective, reliable and if possible, easy to use. In addition, as adrenaline is very closely related to noradrenaline and dopamine, detection techniques need to specifically distinguish each type of these catecholamines.
The modular Cecil Instruments ultra low noise, DC, scanning DC and pulsed amperometric electrochemical detection Adept HPLC system, with its wide choice of working and reference electrodes is beneficial in the detection of catecholamines to low picogram/mL levels.
The electrochemical detector may also be added to third party liquid chromatography systems and to IonQuest ion chromatography systems.
The Adept HPLC system includes intuitive PowerStream chromatography software, which provides for the FDA’s 21 CFR part 11 compliance.
