Bruker celebrates first year anniversary of SCION triple quadrupole and single quadrupole GC-MS

To commemorate this accomplishment, Bruker is releasing the Anniversary SCION Application Solutions Handbook, accompanying the SCION TQ and SQ are the new SCION 436-GC and SCION 456-GC. The handbook can be downloaded for free at http://scionhasarrived.com/handbook-2012.html

The SCION TQ and SCION SQ both feature the industry’s first “lens-free” design which has truly revolutionized the ease-of-use for the gas chromatographer. The new SCION instruments are more sensitive, more productive and save significantly more bench space than conventional GC-MS systems. During the course of the SCION’s first year on the market, the SCION TQ has been awarded the Laboratory Equipment Readers Choice Award for Gas Chromatography and was Silver Medal winner at Pittcon 2012.

One of the first labs to use the SCION TQ in a laboratory setting was the Separation Science and Metabolomics Laboratory at Murdoch University in Western Australia. Director of the research unit, Professor Robert Trengove commented “we have recently been awarded the coveted National Association of Testing Authority (NATA) for an innovative multi-pesticide residue test known as RESCHEK, which ensure grains are safe for export and human consumption.” The Bruker SCION TQ gas chromatography mass spectrometry platform, with the latest advancements in mass spectrometry technology, has allowed us to reduce sample analysis times, improve limits of detection, resulting in improved turnaround time and effective results .”
