'Growing demand' for ion-exchange chromatography
May 10 2010
The manufacturer of chromatography systems for chemical analysis has seen demand for its ion-exchange chromatography solutions rise by a fifth over the past quarter.
Particular demand for the company's UltiMate 3000 Rapid Separation Liquid Chromatography system has also risen over the past three months.
This offers column compartment temperatures of anywhere up to 110 degrees C, helping to reduce back pressure within the system.
Data collection at rates of up to 100 Hz and ultraviolet spectra data for peak purity analysis add to the capabilities of the system.
Frank Witney, president and chief executive officer of the firm, adds: "Our high-performance liquid chromatography sales grew in the mid teens in reported dollars this quarter, compared with the third quarter last year."
The Asia-Pacific region particularly helped to drive the increased interest in ion-exchange chromatography, he reveals, although all regions saw interest levels grow.
