Feb 26 2014
CAMAG today announced the worldwide availability of a new version of its visionCATS HPTLC software (V1.4). With visionCATS CAMAG have developed a state-of-the-art software for qualitative HPTLC analysis that supports chromatographers who use HPTLC for quality control, identification, and detection of adulteration, as well as stability studies in various fields of application.
Besides giving visionCATS a new Look and Feel, CAMAG have implemented several useful tools, i.e. a clipboard function or annotations integration into reports, that make every HPTLC analysts life easier.
The latest release integrates the CAMAG Method Library, where users can download validated methods showing examples incl. reference standards and execute analyses accordingly, which makes HPTLC the ideal tool for quality control, particularly for identification. While saving costs and achieving reproducible results through the use of standardized procedures the CAMAG Method Library makes own method development redundant.
Major enhancements include a new file explorer with extensive filtering functionalities and an all new preview mode that makes entire analyses, methods and comparisons visible at a glance. The Comparison Viewer, a key part of visionCATS now comes up with an integrated clean plate correction and a built-in zoom functionality that considerably enhances usability.
The visionCATS software can either be run on a single workstation or in a multi-user lab network. For the moment the software is geared to qualitative work including all aspects of qualitative HPTLC be it for cGMP compliant routine work or flexible scientific research.
